Thanking him for the extrait du comité, which "may be of use, in publishing it for our justification," expressing the hope of engaging Rose and Didelot [i.e. the dancers Marie-Rose Didelot and Charles-Louis Didelot] at £3,600 for two years, referring to engaging Nivlean and Favre [i.e. Nivelon and Favre Guiardele] ("though damned bad"), mentioning Benard [i.e. Bernard], Mrs. [Anna Maria] Crouch and the harp, [Stephen] Storace's Lodoïska, "scenery machinery," "the man at Marseilles," Mr. Morris, and others, etc.

A school principal in Lewis, Iowa in 1864. This is the town where Belle Macomber Reynolds' father lived. Morris later lived in Lincoln, Neb. Reynolds was the only woman commissioned a major in the Civil War. Belle had moved to Illinois when she married William S. Reynolds in 1860.
